[EXPLORER] Coral Reef

Post by Seifo » Sat Feb 29, 2020 1:41 pm

Hello,
We have a question regarding calibrating our image processing program. Is it possible before detecting anything in the mission of coral reefs to use a trackbar to adjust the range of colors we're interested in?

I have forwarded this question to our image recognition judge group.

I will let you know what the decision is.

A track bar / slider bar to calibrate colors once in the pool is acceptable.

Good luck.

Can we take a picture to use for calibration, before running the autonomous program:

We would go down and take a picture of the coral reef.
Use that picture to calibrate our color ranges while doing other missions.
Go back and take another picture
Then run the program to identify differences (growth, decay, breakage, etc)

1) Is this OK? Or do we need to calibrate on a live stream.
2) Can we use the original image after calibrating the colors (skipping taking another picture)?
3) Can we do the same with the top of the subway car (get the 4 different colors)?

We are a RANGER team.

Thanks
