Micro-ROV Power

Post by ahmedso3daa » Fri Apr 09, 2021 5:24 pm

Can we receiver the 12V power for the micro-ROV in the main ROV circuit (inside the main ROV) and then connect the micro-ROV with cables to the main ROV ? or do we need to have a circuit inside the micro-ROV ?

I am not 100% sure I understand what you are planning, but ...

You can run the micro-ROV of primary ROV power. So for example, an EXPLORER class vehicle has to run 48 volts down to their vehicle. They could then convert that to 12 volts onboard the ROV and power the micro-ROV (non-ROV device) from onboard power. Likewise, a RANGER ROV could branch off 12 volt power on the ROV to power their micro-ROV.

I hope that answers your question.

Good luck.
