RANGER task question

Post by Andrew2608 » Mon Mar 29, 2021 6:26 am

Task 3: Create photomosaic of a subway car: do we need to crop the excess on each side of the photo? Is it allowed to have a frame around the photo on each side?

Hi Andrew:

RANGER class teams may crop the image they take.
RANGER class teams are allowed to have a border / frame around their images for the photomosaic.

As a note: EXPLORER teams are not allowed to do this if they trying to do the task autonomously.

Good luck.

Hey Matt,

Clairifying point here. An Explorer team pilot and copilot can't cropped the images themselves, but the autonomous stitching program can right (to count for autonomous task completion)?

Thanks,

Yes, your program may alter the images as needed. But EXPLORER teams, in order to get points for autonomous creation, cannot crop or alter the image before sending it to their program.

Good luck.
