Propeller Shrouding

Post by pROVe427 » Thu Apr 30, 2015 10:51 am

We just have a question on what is considered to be acceptable shrouding for the ROV. Right now our shrouds consist of a PVC rectangle surrounding our props. We know that most shrouds are circular, and surround props more closely, so we were worried that our current shrouds might not be as extensive as they should be. So our questions are: how closely do our shrouds need to surround our props, and do they need to be circular.

A triangle around the props will suffice for shrouding, it doesn't have to be circular. MATE doesn't have an actual distance that shrouds have to be from the propeller, but it should be identifiable as a shroud around the propeller - not some much larger structure that just happens to be around the propellers.

Hope this helps.

Good luck.
