Is the bore of the cannon physically blocked?

Post by gavingavinchan » Thu Jan 03, 2019 8:20 am

Hi

The manual says "For calculations, assume bore is entire length of cannon", while the prop instruction states that weights will be placed inside the cannon, so will the cannon bore be physically blocked or is it cleared?

Thanks

I think they mean that, for the purpose of calculating the weight, you act as if the bore goes all the way through, but in reality, it's blocked.

The bore of the cannon will be open for a few cm at least. However there will be weights inside the cannon. How far down the cannon those weights are will very depending on how the cannon needs to be balanced.

My guess is you (or other companies) are thinking of inserting something into the bore to lift the cannon. That would be risky, as the bore may be capped or otherwise blocked on the inside.

Good luck.
